Poojah Naresh Patel

An aspiring and inspiring activist since her high school days, Pooja Naresh Patel has been instrumentally involved in programs and services that seek to improve the lives of youth and families. Whether within the U.S. or abroad, Patel lends her talents and skills to those most in need.


After graduating college, Patel interned for the Defense for Children International in Amsterdam. Upon hearing the call for volunteers in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, Pooja volunteered for Common Ground.

At home in San Francisco she served as co-coordinator for Treasure Island Homeless Development Initiative’s Youth Program.

Currently Pooja is touring India with the organization InSpire. The program seeks to build grassroots contacts in India while cultivating the participants’ understanding of the deeper global issues that affect all on the planet. InSpire also encourages participants to utilize exploration as an opportunity for self-exploration and reflection.

Patel has earned B.A. degrees in Sociology and International Economics.

Ms. Patel is also an aspiring poet.
